pm pre-k class

Our PM Pre-K/Kindergarten class meets Monday through Thursday from 12:30-3pm. We make the most of our class time by having a daily routines filled with opportunities to learn in many different ways. As much as possible, we learn through play and hands-on activities.

Each week we learn the name, sound, and ASL sign for a new letter, as well as how to write it. Our classroom themes generally correlate with our letter of the week (i.e. Aa is for Apple). As the year progresses, we start to put sounds together to make simple words. Throughout our class day we find ways to incorporate basic math concepts as well, such as number recognition, counting, and story problems.

Much of our day is dedicated to crafts and playtime that specifically encourage fine and gross motor growth. We use our weekly themes to incorporate science and history, and children’s literature.
Our goal is that students develop academic skills and motor skills, along with strong social skills. Each day we practice listening and following directions. We put great emphasis on learning how to encourage each other and treat each other with kindness.
More than anything else, we want each child in Pre-K/Kindergarten to experience the magic of learning. We want every student to love school and to know that they are loved.

Age Requirement: Age 4 by April 30th thru kindergarten age. Class Time: Monday -Thursday 12:30-3:00 p.m.
